I stumbled across this 1948 cartoon video (below) entitled, "Make Mine Freedom", and for some reason took a few minutes to watch it. I'm so glad that I did! I'm not alone because over 2,000,000 have also tuned in. This cartoon, over sixty years old, is eerily timely and applicable to the state of our government and country. Don't cheat yourself. Watch the entire video because it saves the best for last.
What's so incredibly, amazingly eye-popping about it is that it exposes the EXACT SAME LIBERAL LIES that are being repeated today ad nauseum. They recycle the same old "snake oil", promising a government that is the caring lord, God, savior, and provider of all that is good, fair, secure and free.
Make sure and pay particular attention to the main character, "Dr. Utopia," who, I swear is reading from Barack Obama's teleprompter!
Please take a few minutes with your family (it's a cartoon, so kids will enjoy and easily understand it) and watch this simple, yet extremely powerful video. The sound is slightly scratchy (it was 1948 after all), but not significantly so.
The slick snake oil salesman, doing his prophetic Barack Obama impersonation, tries to sell bottles of "ism" (a euphemism for communism, socialism, fascism, liberalism) to John Q. Public, who sets the story straight by illustrating how Capitalism works best and big government, utopian promises come with a high price, the loss of freedom.
It's no small wonder that the saying, "The more things change, the more they remain the same," is such a timeless truism. Barack Obama promised "change". His "snake oil", as this video powerfully reveals, is the same old freedom-killing poison being peddled by tyrants throughout all history. Remember that 1948 was only three years after World War II, so "tyranny" was fresh on the minds of most Americans.

Great find here Matthew. Definitely prophetic and soberingly relevant. The lesson of course is that those who don't understand history are doomed to repeat its failures. Dr. Utopia is a perfect label for Obama - he's nothing but lies and deception, promising everything and delivering nothing.
