THE GUIDE TO OBAMACARE'S CONSTITUTIONALITY

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God."

Above is the oath our elected Representatives and Senators take upon being sworn into office. Apparently, our liberal representatives taking this oath aren't taking it very seriously, don't understand it, or are purposely violating it.

CNS News has taken the lead in asking those that took the above oath about the constitutionality of Obamacare. It's unbelievable that the question of whether Obamacare is constitutional or not is being completely avoided by the majority of the press. Thank God for CNS News for asking what shouldn't even be considered a tough question. After all, isn't passing only laws that are within the defined limits of the Constitution their job? The answers from these "leaders" in our government are appalling, embarrassing, shameful, shocking, and dangerous. Below is the guide to ObamaCare's constitutionality:

When CNS News recently asked Nancy Pelosi:

“Madam Speaker, where specifically does the Constitution grant Congress the authority to enact an individual health insurance mandate?”

Pelosi, shaking her head and completely dismissing the validity of the question, replied,

"Are you serious? Are you serious? CNS answered politely, "Yes, yes I am."

After Pelosi slithered away without further comment, her spokesman reaffirmed her previous answer, by stating:

“You can put this on the record. That is not a serious question. That is not a serious question.”

So you see my fellow Americans, San Francisco Liberal Democrat Nancy Pelosi doesn't take the United States Constitution seriously now, does she? It's so far removed from her thought process that she practically thought any inquiry regarding it was a joke. This "lady", along with her accomplices, is leading the movement to disintegrate the Constitution. At least in the past the Constitution was at least a speed bump to new laws being passed. Now, forget about even slowing down to read or interpret it. It's not even a consideration.

CNS News also asked Senator Ben Nelson, Democrat from Nebraska:

“Specifically, where in the Constitution does Congress get its authority to mandate that individuals purchase health, health insurance?”

Nelson, obviously surprised by the "tough" question replied:

“Well, you know, I don’t know that I’m a constitutional scholar. So, I, I’m not going to be able to answer that question.”

In other words, Nelson didn't bother to stop to consider whether the bill is constitutional or not. He doesn't know whether it is or not, but that's not going to stop him from voting in favor of it.

When asked precisely the same question, Senator Jack Reed, Democrat from Rhode Island, said:

“Let me see. I would have to check the specific sections, so I’ll have to get back to you on the specific section. But it is not unusual that the Congress has required individuals to do things, like sign up for the draft and do many other things too..."

CNS then asked Hawaiian Democrat Senator Daniel Akaka:

"If there was a specific part of the Constitution that gives Congress the authority to make people buy health insurance"

At least this guy knew the correct answer, that it's not a constitutional, but with qualifications:

“Not in particular with health insurance. It’s not covered in that respect. But in ways to help citizens in our country to live a good life, let me say it that way, is what we’re trying to do, and in this case, we’re trying to help them with their health.”

Wouldn't eating our green beans be good for us too? How about working out at a health club four days a week? Can these liberal leaders, still in their "hope and change" trance, answer this question:

Is their any limitation to what the government can do to us?

Unbelievable! Now the Constitution gives the federal government the authority to do anything to us they desire as long as they say it's good for us? Does he know that throughout history, tyranny's birth was the promise of "doing good" or "helping people." Why does he think that the Founding Fathers didn't include "helping people" as a constitutional power? Does he think that they forgot?

The Democrat-controlled definition of helping people is nefarious: Forcing people to buy something, anything they define as "helping people", with no limits, then throwing you in jail if you don't. Nancy Pelosi even described it as giving the American people a "Christmas present."

It doesn't stop there. Obama's Minister of Propaganda, Robert Gibbs was asked recently:

“Have White House lawyers looked at this issue? Has this been examined in any way?”

Gibbs responded:

“Not that I know of. I don’t think it has gotten to the point where anybody questions the legitimacy of it.”

The reporter then had the gall to ask a follow up question:

“Well, Orrin Hatch questions the legitimacy of it.”

Gibbs, in his typical smart-ass, condescending tone, sniped:

“Well, you should ask him.”

The reporter then gave Gibbs the opportunity to backtrack or rephrase his answer and even asked another follow-up question, a rare occurrence for the mesmerized media:

“Do you not feel there is any concern at all about whether it is constitutional for Congress to impose a mandate?”

Gibbs response was a cocky, "No."

Everyone of these treasonous leaders, who are clearly, recklessly, and purposely in violation of their oath of office, should be removed from office immediately. They see themselves as God-like monoliths that can pass any law they happen to be in the mood to pass.

This complete disregard will lead to oppression and tyranny if these power-hungry criminals are not stopped.
