PELOSI REDEFINES "VERY FAIR': 'BUY MY POLICY OR GO TO JAIL'

Nancy Pelosi was in Seattle on November 9th, and held a press conference alongside fellow Jim McDermitt. Ironically, a member of the media actual did their job in Seattle, an area that tends to lean very left.

Award winning KOMO T.V. News Reporter Shomari Stone, and Pelosi had the following exchange (page down to view video):

STONE: I have a question for you that hasn't been pointed out but a lot of Americans feel this way. Do you think it's fair to send people to jail for not buying health insurance?

PELOSI: Well the point is -- is that we want make sure that everyone has access to health care. For a long time now people who haven't had health care or provided it have placed the burden on others. Everybody is paying the price for uncompensated care-I don't need to tell you that-in a hospital. And so this is -- is to say that we all have to do our part and that is the point of the bill.

STONE: But Madame Speaker, I'm just trying to understand, if you don't buy health insurance, you go to jail? You didn't answer my question.

PELOSI: Well, the point, there is -- I think the legislation is very fair in this respect. It gives people an opportunity to have health care, access to quality health care. If they can't afford it, it provides subsidies for them to do so. But do you think it's fair if somebody says, I'm just not going to have any, if I get sick, then I'll just go to the emergency room and send the bill to you. That's my view on the subject.

Not surprisingly, Pelosi uses "fair," "fairness," and "equality" (like Obama does) to sell their control to the gullible public. Study history and you'll see that tyrannical regimes throughout history have sold their draconian initiatives using the same rhetoric.

Stone wasn't asking this question in jest.

CRIMINAL PENALTIES:

Prosecution is authorized under the Code for a variety of offenses. Depending on the level of the noncompliance, the following penalties could apply to an individual:

• Section 7203 – misdemeanor willful failure to pay is punishable by a fine of up to $25,000 and/or imprisonment of up to one year.

• Section 7201 – felony willful evasion is punishable by a fine of up to $250,000 and/or imprisonment of up to five years.” [page 3]

According to the non-partisan number crunchers, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), the LOWEST cost (one can assume that the lowest cost would be bare-bones) of a family plan would be $15,000 in 2016. Ironically, the CBO stated this in a direct letter to Democrat swindler, Charlie Rangel, the tax crook in charge or writing our nation's tax laws:

"Although premiums under H.R. 3962 would vary by geographic area to reflect differences in average spending for health care and would also vary by age, the table shows the approximate national average for that lower-cost reference plan—about $5,300 for single policies and about $15,000 for family policies in 2016."

Do you think it's fair to send people to jail for not buying health insurance?

Notice how uncomfortable "Queen Nan" becomes.
