THE REAL REASON BILL CLINTON IS PUSHING OBAMACARE

DESPERATE DEMS BRING IN SLICK WILLY TO PUT FINAL NAIL IN
OBAMACARE'S COFFIN
The desperate Democrats never cease to amaze me. Let's try to think this through. They want to get government-run health care approved, so for the "big gun" to close the deal, they bring in the last Democrat to fail at getting it passed, Slick Willy, Bill Clinton. Clinton's job is to exert some old-fashioned arm-twisting to get more moderate Democrats in the Senate to pass Obamacare.

Clinton, as we all know, is one of the best liars in history (remember the wagging finger), possibly only matched by the current master of deception, Obama. Clinton's message? Telling the Senate Dems that the reason why Republicans won the Senate in 1994 was because he didn't get what was then called "HillaryCare", for the leadership role his unelected wife took, passed. If he can pull it off, it will be one of the slickest revisions of history of all-time.

I was very much paying attention to politics in 1993-94, the years of HillaryCare. I can tell you that when Americans threw the Democrats out of both houses of Congress for the first time since 1953, it wasn't because they didn't get universal health care, socialized medicine, national healthcare, or whatever you want to call government-run health care, passed. It was because they tried to get it passed in the first place.

Think about the twisted logic Bill Clinton is attempting to use to convince Senators to vote for ObamaCare (repeat in Clinton's twangy voice):

1) Me and Hillary tried to get this stuff passed in '94, and we failed.
2) Liberals were so mad at us that they voted for rookie Right Wingers (Republicans) in Congress.

SOME CRITICAL QUESTIONS FOR "SLICK WILLY"

Really, Bill? Is that how it worked? Let me get this straight. Liberals were so outraged at your inability to pass a socialized, government-run health care system with a Democrat majority Congress that they voted for rookie conservatives, perfectly content with giving Republicans the majority in the House and the Senate for the first time in 40 years?

If that's so, why didn't you bring it up later in your administration? If the American people wanted it that badly, why did you give up on it? I'll tell you why. It's because it was political suicide for you and your "big government" so-called solutions. Isn't this what eventually led to your incredible assertion (I almost fainted) that "The Era of Big Government is Over."

After your crushing and resounding defeat on health care, your presidency was essentially neutered, even though you obviously weren't. The remainder of your presidency, you were dragged kicking and screaming by a Republican Congress into doing such anti-liberal acts as reducing welfare dependents and balancing the budget.

And if ObamaCare is so essential for Democrats to be elected and re-elected in 2010, maintaining their stranglehold on Congress, then why not wait a few months, closer to the election next year, so your Democrat friends can ride the ObamaCare coattails to victory?

THE REAL REASON BILL CLINTON IS PUSHING OBAMACARE

Former Clinton political strategist (Bill's version of Karl Rove), Dick Morris, very appropriately pointed out today in a Townhall article, entitled, The Myth of the Moderate Democrat, there are some striking (and for Democrats, what should be fearful) similarities to 1993, when "HillaryCare" was being considered, and the political environment today. Morris writes:
For now, all Democrats should compare the results in Virginia and New Jersey in 1993 and in 2009. In Virginia, in both years, an incumbent Democrat sat in the state house but was not permitted to run again. In both years, the Republican won the governorship by identical 58 percent to 41 percent margins. In New Jersey, in both years, the incumbent Democratic governor sought another term and lost. In 1993, by 49 percent to 48 percent and in 2009 by 49 percent to 45 percent.
Bill Clinton is a lot of things, but stupid he is not. Like Barack Obama, he is a skilled, cunning, and self-absorbed politician. Do you think he's so politically tone deaf that he doesn't know the albatross it would be for Obama if the unconstitutional, economy wrecking, tax raising, freedom killing, and quality of care diminishing behemoth passes? So why is Clinton aggressively trying to shove this poisonous pill down his fellow Democrats' throats, even going so far as to tell them bold-faced lies?

CLINTON'S REAL MOTIVE

Remember that Bill Clinton campaigned hard against Barack Obama last year when his wife, Hillary Clinton, was Obama's opponent. In the heat of the campaign, Bill was livid at Obama, and said:
"I've got before me a list of 80 attacks on Hillary that are quite personal by Sen. Obama and his campaign going back six months that I've had pulled."
He went on to say that Obama's attacks against Hillary were "appalling." He also questioned Obama's qualifications and experience to be president.

"Slick Willy" is no fan of Obama. He is jealous of Obama's diminishing the legacy of his presidency and would love nothing better than to destroy his chances for re-election. Clinton knows that in order for his wife to run against Obama, a fellow Democrat and sitting president, Obama's popularity within the party will have to plummet dramatically. Complicating the matter further for a Hillary run in 2012 is that she's Obama's Secretary of State.

In order for Hillary to run in 2012 and not be seen as disloyal to the Democrat Party and a sitting president, Obama's re-election chances would have to be completely thrashed. Passing ObamaCare, as unpopular now as it was in 1993, would accomplish that goal, and Hillary could easily be seen as the savior of the party, and the only chance to have a Democrat in the White House.

Bill Clinton loves power and the limelight. Having Hillary as the president, creating in essence, a "co-presidency", would accomplish that goal. It would also satisfy his need to destroy Obama, who has stolen his political thunder, and would fulfill his desire in inflict sweet revenge. Perhaps Obama's teleprompter needs to break through with an urgent message. He is being played by a political opponent whose motives are not pure. Watch out, Obama. You're falling right into the Clinton web.

  1. Very well said! I think you've added some light to some of Bill's recent behaviors.

Now if we could publicize stuff like Hillary's mid-east trainwreck tour, people would be more aware of how completely incompetent she is when it comes to matters of state.

Like in this story she addresses the Pakistanis, who believe that we are making them fight our war for us, by telling them that they need to double their taxes to pay for the fight. The woman is a disaster.

  3. Thanks for stopping by. I'm glad you enjoyed the article. She is quite a piece of work. As bad as she is, I think she might not be quite as bad as Obama, but I could be wrong. Hopefully, we won't have the opportunity to find out.
