HOW TO FIX HEALTH CARE IN UNDER NINE MINUTES

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT
HEALTH CARE IN UNDER NINE MINUTES
(See: Video Below from Reason.tv)
Do you really think that any of the Obamacare supporters want health care to work? Do you really think they are concerned about rising costs or lowering them? Has the government ever lowered the price and improved the service and quality of anything? If the Obamacare supporters were concerned about those things, the LAST thing they'd do is get the government involved. The first thing they should be studying is why have costs declined dramatically in these three areas of health care: Lasik surgery, hair replacement, and plastic surgery. Not only that, but would any of these technologies even exist if it weren't for the profit motive?
EVERYONE, (including the imbeciles in Washington, D.C., I assume, but maybe that's a stretch) knows that the price of any good or service goes down, and quality and access goes up when free markets are allowed to thrive. This can only happen if the government stays out of the way, as they largely do in the case of the three procedures.
There is no free market in health care! What we have now is a complicated, inefficient mix of third-party payers and competition killing state and federal regulations (how would you start a new health insurance company?), with the government already controlling 50% of health care. Is it a coincidence that health care costs only started spiraling out of control when the government got their greedy little meat hooks into it?
ObamaCare supporters, and liberals, continue to put their misguided faith in the bureaucratic parasites in the all-knowing, omniscient federal government. Their answer is ALWAYS more government, more subsidies, more regulations, freedom stealing government mandates, onerous taxes and economy destroying deficit spending.
Can a market-based health care system work? We can begin to answer this question by looking at Lasik, a medical procedure that's not covered by health insurance. Like all products in the free market, it has gotten better and cheaper.
The video below from Reason.tv, "How to Fix Health Care" proposes three simple reforms that will put us on a path to a health-care system that's better, more affordable, and more accessible. These market-based reforms can be implemented without creating new intrusive, unaffordable, inefficient government bureaucracies or raising taxes (Hmmm, I wonder if that's why they don't like it.)
