JAY INSLEE CO-SPONSORS AUDITING THE FED LEGISLATION, THEN VOTES AGAINST IT

Since its birth in 1913, the Federal Reserve Bank has played the key role in causing every economic bubble and bust we've experienced, including the current housing/mortgage meltdown. By forcing interest rates artificially lower than what they would be in a free market, people were enticed to buy homes and make investments that they otherwise wouldn't have dreamed of doing.
The Fed's monopolistic banking cartel is protected from audits and is unaccountable to the American people. What are they hiding? The fact that Jay Inslee (and multiple others) would, 'be favor of auditing the fed before they were against it', (vintage John Kerry) is appalling.

HAPPY "INDEPENDENCE" DAY!

old-glory.png usa image by anglosaxonrebel
Today, I found myself wondering why we rarely say what today really is, "Independence Day", but more often than not refer to it as the date on the calendar, as in, "Happy 4th of July". Saying "Happy 4th", I believe, detracts from what we should be remembering, celebrating, and being thankful for, our declaration of independence and birth as a nation.
What other holiday or celebration do we reduce to a date on the calendar? Do we say, Merry December 25th, or Happy Fourth Thursday in November? In previous years, I've been guilty of nonchalantly and unconsciously calling today the generic and empty, "4th of July". No more! Today, I decided that I would forevermore refer to today as what it is: "Independence Day". Happy Independence Day, fellow Americans. God Bless the USA!
Here's a very good article by Heritage about why we celebrate today. Take a couple of minutes and read it with your families. Heritage Foundation: "Independence Forever. Why America Celebrates the 4th of July"

THREE REASONS NEW FINANCIAL REGS WON'T FIX ANYTHING

Watch the very simple, concise, and accurate video, courtesy from the folks at Reason.tv, that explains why the recently passed financial "reform" bill will not solve any problems. Chris Dodd and Barney Frank, two of the politicians most responsible for promoting the policies that caused the housing bubble/bust, are the authors of the bill. That, and the fact that Fannie/Freddie aren't addressed, should tell you something. Another "crisis" being used as an excuse to expand government control and intrusion into the private sector. The inmates are running the asylum.
