THE FREEDOM POST was founded by Matthew Burke in late 2008 as a response to the unprecedented and unrestrained usurping, looting, and plundering by our corrupt, power-hungry politicians and unaccountable bureaucrats in Washington, D.C. The Freedom Post was started to promote the great constitutional principles our country was founded upon, limited government, individual rights and responsibilities, and free markets.
The United States quickly became the freest and most prosperous nation in history, not because of government, but because of the extent it has been limited. We must fight to preserve the same for our posterity. It is our duty and obligation.
For much of 2010, The Freedom Post was the campaign blog for Matthew's 2010 congressional campaign (WA-01). It has now been returned to it's original format.
